Michael R. Haas, Esq. | City of Madison

Michael Haas has served as Madison City Attorney since May 2020. He previously worked in various legal and management positions at the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board and the Wisconsin Elections Commission, including as the first Administrator of the Elections Commission. Mike started his legal career with the law firm of Roethe Krohn Pope, LLP, where his practice focused on municipal law as well as general practice matters. Mike received his undergraduate degree in Government from Harvard University and his J.D from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Travis J. Stieren, Esq. | Office of Lawyer Regulation

Travis Stieren has been the Program Administrator for the Office of Lawyer Regulation’s Trust Account Program since 2018. Prior to that, Travis was an investigator with OLR for 14 years. He presented numerous seminars on trust account management across Wisconsin. Travis has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Illinois and he received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Before coming to OLR, Travis practiced in small private law firms in both Wisconsin and Massachusetts, and served as a Senior Law Clerk to the Massachusetts Superior Court.

Rebecca R. DeMarb, Esq. | Swanson Sweet, LLP

Rebecca R. DeMarb, an attorney since 1997, is a partner in Swanson Sweet LLP. Rebecca’s practice focuses on working with financially troubled companies. She represents businesses in financial trouble, and serves as a receiver for the benefit of creditors and stakeholders of businesses in financial trouble.

Olivia Kay Mote, Esq. | Bell, Moore & Richter, S.C.

Olivia Kay Mote is a family law attorney and a member of the board of directors at the Madison law firm of Bell, Moore & Richter, S.C.

Olivia represents clients in divorce, legal separation, and paternity cases; post-judgment matters involving child custody and placement, support, and other financial issues; prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; and other family legal matters. She earned her B.A. from DePauw University, her M.A. in Comparative Religion from Miami University, and her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Prior to attending law school, she taught religious studies courses at her master’s alma mater.

Enhancing her legal practice, Olivia has trained to serve as a mediator for pro se parties, she holds a Grief Support Specialist certificate from the University of Wisconsin, and she is pursuing credentialing as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. Her work in family law also benefits from her background in general legal practice.

Olivia is licensed in Wisconsin and in her birth state of Indiana. She serves on the board of the Legal Association for Women in Dane County, co-chairing an annual networking event for law students. She has been honored as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in each year since 2020.

Samuel J. S. Moheban, Esq. | Ruder Ware, LLSC

At Ruder Ware, Sam is focusing his practice on litigation while also expanding the firm’s business immigration offerings, assisting employers with employee immigration matters. His interest in immigration took root during his tenure as a paralegal in a boutique Minneapolis law firm. In this role, he assisted immigrants in their quest for enhanced opportunities in the United States, a journey mirroring that of his own grandfather, who immigrated from Iran. Grounded in a steadfast belief in natural rights, Sam derives satisfaction from helping others navigate restrictions to their freedom of movement and association.

Before joining Ruder Ware, Sam practiced with a respected Fox Valley law firm where he concentrated on resolving matters related to business, employment, property, and fiduciaries.

Spencer Orin and Claudia C. Beyer | Digital Intelligence

Spencer Orin, Director of eDiscovery Services

As Director of eDiscovery Services, Spencer provides guidance to clients in all phases of the electronic discovery reference model (EDRM), project planning, budgeting, and eDiscovery technology. Spencer is a certified expert on software platforms such as Nuix and Relativity. He is often engaged to consult on the employment of early case assessment strategies, analytics, and predictive coding technology to create more efficient, streamlined document reviews. He has conducted dozens of data collections in large, highly sensitive matters, and frequently assists clients with data mapping and preservation strategies. Spencer manages DI's largest, most complicated cases, often involving terabytes of data. Spencer is responsible for the oversight of eDiscovery operations, including the implementation and utilization of efficient and innovative solutions throughout preservation, collection, processing, hosted review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI). Spencer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a B.S. in Legal Studies, is a Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS), and is a Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA).

Claudia C. Beyer, Project Manager/Client Experience

As Project Manager/Client Experience, Claudia Beyer manages the daily operations of the professional services team, guiding the team through all steps of the case opening and closure process; monitoring the progress and quality of internal operations; effectively and efficiently delegating the team's resources; and serving as a liaison between clients and the technical team. As the primary client-facing administrator, Claudia plays an integral role in developing and maintaining the positive client relationships that are paramount to the success of Digital Intelligence. Prior to joining Digital Intelligence, Claudia earned her bachelor’s degree in Religion & Art History at Ripon College. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Wisconsin School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison and has received an eDiscovery Advanced Certification (eADv).
